George and Duke Nursery/ Elementary School
Felele Ibadan is a private day and boarding
school opened on the 12th of
September, 1994, with just twenty seven (27)
pupils on roll and eight (8) teachers in a two
flat, roofed with corrugated iron along Odukoya
Street of Felele Straight in Ibadan.
In September, 1995, there was need for expansion
which necessitated the building of a prefab at
the back of the house. The school remained there
for quite a while before the house was decked
and raised. By September, 1996 there were more
classes ranging from the Nursery to class six.
The school started as George and Duke Nursery/
Elementary School under the leadership of Dr.
Niran Olurin and Mrs.Ranti Olurin, who felt
there was a great need for a primary institution
with a difference to cater for both foreigners
and Nigerians in various surroundings of Ibadan
and more so Felele/ Chanllege areas.
Dr. Niran Olurin is a seasoned educationist and
a disciplinary who studied and earn M.Sc.in
Business Management, Ph.D in Business Education
and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management
Information System from Indiana State
University, USA.

Mrs. Ranti Olurin (The Proprietress) also had
her B.Sc in Banking and Finance from the Nigeria
Premier University, University of Ibadan.
The success of the school will not be complete
without paying glowing tribute to the board
members of the school particularly Professor
Afolabi Soyode and Mr. C. Asimolowo who could be
described as the father of the school who worked
with their full experience to get the school and
teachers settled.
The rest of the board Mrs. Yejide Runsewe,
Mrs.Funmi Robert, Rev. Tunde Akinola, Mrs.Osoba,
Mrs Yinka Adetunji and a host of others, also
contributed immensely to the success of the
school.
The school’s academic and social life have been
further enriched immensely by the contribution
of the former and present Head teachers,
beginning from Mr. Cobbinah (1994 – 1996) and
Mrs. B.O.Igbanoi 1996 to date.
Population: Many pupils have come and gone since 1994 and at present the
number of students enrolled from 620 to 650.
Aim and Curriculum of the School:
The school is established primarily for children
who want more that what the public education
system can give. Children are taught in English
and Yoruba, the curriculum is base on the
National Policy on Education.
Academic Performance of our Pupils:
Laurel
have been won by pupils yearly, especially in
Mathematics, Olympaid and Gifted Children
Awards. All these are to the glory of God and
the deep involvement of the dedicated teachers
